New Year, great selections

Hey wow it's a new year and i feel the same as i did yesterday, but looking forward to what the next year will bring. I want to take a minute to give a huge plug to The Artists Coven open mic hosted by Rachel and Tiesha. The AC is held atthe Olive hooka lounge on Sunset between Sandhill and Annie Oakley. Every Wednesday night at 7 pm these ladies are hosting a great evening of poetry, music, and even some performance art. Get there early if you want a seat because it fills up quick! The staff seems a little overburdened and not really sure how to handle the influx of business, but despite this the reading is a lot of fun and draws a different crowd. The food is great, the hookas are hookas, the vibe is open and welcoming. A lot of good things will be happening at this place this year so check it out when you get a chance. Thanks ladies for your hard work.

Something else to look out for is DAKWNB's free poetry reading at Sonny's gold coin (tropicana and decatur) starting Friday Jan.6th!




No reading this evening for us (1st) but we will start back up next week.
